HYDERABADI CHICKEN MASALA FRY
STREET STYLE CHICKEN FRY RECIPE



Ingredients for Hyderabadi Chicken Masala Fry:

(Tsp- Teaspoon; Tbsp- Tablespoon )

- Chicken- leg, thigh and breast pieces- 500 gms

For marination:
- Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Red Chill Powder- 1 tsp
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder- 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Fennel Powder- 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder- 1 tsp
- Salt - 1.25 tsp
- Ginger Garlic paste- 2.5 tsp
- Curry leaves, fine chopped- 2-3 tsp
- Green Chillies chopped- 2 (3 tsp)
- Thick curd/yoghurt - 3 tbsp (without water)
- Fried onions crushed- 3 medium onions

Garnish:
- Coriander leaves, chopped- 3 tbsp
- Lemon Juice- 2 tsp

Preparation:

- Fry the sliced onions in hot oil till brown. Remove and allow it to cool. Now roughly crush it with your hand.
- Marinate the chicken with all the items, mix and set aside for 1 hour.

Process:

- Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan.
- Now place all the chicken pieces side by side and cover with a lid
- Fry on low heat for 5 mins.
- Flip and repeat for another 5 mins. Cover with a lid again
- Repeat for another 10 mins
- Now remove lid, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and add a dash of lemon.
- Mix and fry on medium heat for around 2 mins. Serve hot.
